  Funds from donations ease the financial burden of families. These funds help with out of town/state travel and living expenses, so their children can receive the most up to date medical treatment, such as, to and from a doctor's office, hospital, transplant and rehabilitation center.

It is important for a parent to be with their child while receiving medical treatment. Most parents can not afford the travel and living costs to take an ill child and stay with that child until that child is dismissed.
